Privacy Policy

On iPhone, Hoard is local-first.

Everything you enter in the iPhone app, including your budget, dreams, spending, and balances, is stored on your device. If you turn on iCloud, that data syncs privately through your own Apple iCloud account, which only you control. We (SCALES Ventures Pte. Ltd.) never receive, store, see, or sell it.

Hoard on the web.

The web app at hoard.scales.baby works differently. You sign in with your SCALES account, through a provider like Google or Discord, or with a Solana wallet, and a cookie keeps you signed in. We store the identity your sign-in shares with us, such as your account ID and an email address if the provider includes one, or your wallet address. We use it only to recognize you.

Everything you enter on the web, including your budget, dreams, spending, and balances, is stored on our server under your account, so it follows you across devices. That is the honest trade: unlike the iPhone app, the web app is not local-first, and what you enter there does reach us. We use it only to run Hoard for you. We never sell it, and we never share it with advertisers.

To delete your web account and everything synced to it, email info@scales.baby and ask. We will confirm when it is gone.

No tracking, anywhere.

The iPhone app has no sign-in at all. On every platform, Hoard runs no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. We don't build an advertising profile of you, on any device.

Network use.

Hoard may fetch public information such as currency exchange rates. Those requests retrieve data; they never send us your personal or financial information.

Your control.

On iPhone, your data lives on your device and your iCloud. Delete the app or your iCloud data and it's gone: there is nothing on our side to request or erase. On the web, signing out only ends your session, so your data is still there when you sign back in. To remove it, email us and we will delete your account and everything synced to it.

Changes.

If we change what Hoard collects or stores, we will update this policy, note the date above, and explain the change in plain language.
